My TV is broken. What do I do?
|As simple as it may seem… First thing, check that the power plug is installed properly and that the outlet is getting power. Then, get as much information as you can about the symptoms.
1. Does the unit power on?
2. Is there an LED blinking. If so, how many times? (Some TV’s will blink a code to indicate which part of the set has failed.)
3. Is there an on-screen display? (Press menu button on TV panel to see if the TV menu appears.)
4. Is there sound coming from the TV speakers?
5. Is there a distortion of the picture? If so, on what inputs? (Cable or satelite box, DVD player, game console? All of them?)
6. Any other information you think can be helpful.
How long does it take to repair a TV?
Statewide TV Repair Service can make most TV repairs the same day or next day. It may take longer if we have to diagnose an uncommon problem (like problems caused by pests or power surges). Also, repair time is affected if parts need to be ordered.
What information do I need to get a phone or email estimate?
We need as much information as possible. The minimum information we need is Make (Sony, RCA, etc.), Model and/or Chassis (should be on the back cover), TV type (CRT, CRT big screen, DLP, LCD, LCD projection, Plasma) and the issue it is having. Other information that can help is Manufacture Date (back cover).
How can you give an estimate without checking the TV?
Statewide TV Serice provides reliable estimates. In order to do this, we need to review the tv set. There are many situations that we just have no idea what the problem could be without checking it first. Please call us today to get started.
How much will it cost to fix my TV?
The cost is based on parts needed and the service call. A more accurate estimate can be given with some specific information about your TV and its symptoms. If you were to decide to go ahead and fix the unit through Statewide TV Service then the service call will be absolutely FREE.
Can I repair my own Plasma TV?
We do not advise a consumer to try to fix a Plasma TV on their own. It takes years of practice and many hours of technical training. Please call us prior to attempting any such repairs.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes, we do. We accept all major credit cards, personal checks and cash.
Do You offer Discounts?
We support veterans, police, firefighters and teachers. Also we care about our seniors, so we offer 10% discount on labor fees for all these groups.
Recycling is life!!!
Tons of flat-screen TVs and other electronic products that are returned or abandoned are consigned to landfills. We recapture parts that would otherwise be wasted and contaminate the environment, this way we are putting our grain of sand on the battle for a cleaner place for our children and grandchildren.
Flat TV's as well as lamps on projection TV's contain mercury. Mercury is a very poisonous substance that will create a big impact on the environment.
